It sound like something from Monty Python sketch.
And probably it will be with Heidi.
Within a few minutes of meeting with Heidi, her magnetic personality shone through and it is clear that she is the right person for her new role of ‘Minister of Fun’ at the Cedar Court Hotels, Yorkshire. In an instance, her smile lights up the room and it welcomes everyone.
And the best bit for me is that I’ll be working alongside Heidi in the new year, as part of the Cedar Court project, to create an accessible tourism guide for their hotel in Harrogate.
My introduction to the staff at Cedar Court Harrogate took place last night at the press night at the ‘Tipi Take Over’ event where I was treated to mulled wine and a mouth-watering selection of canopies, which were prepared for us by the top chef duo, Jo Mills and Chris Hales. Both Chris and Jo are very talented chefs, both reaching the quarter finals of the TV Masterchef UK competition.
Chris Hale was a quarter finalist in 2016, and Jo Mills also reached the quarter-finals in 2021.
Chris already has a successful catering business, but the pair of them have teaming up to run a pop up restaurant in the Tipi which is situated in the grounds of the Cedar Court hotel.
It really was a treat to meet the team behind this wonderful festive Tipi experience. The open fire, cosy blankets, twinkling lights and the magnificent food really ignited the Christmas spirit and set the mood for the festive season.
The pop up restaurant will be in the Tipi Lounge at the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate from December 9th to 19th
There will be afternoon tea on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; festive tapas from 2pm to 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and bottomless brunch on Sunday.

The tipi is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets in the hotel. Disabled parking bays are located at the front of the hotel. The event is dog friendly too!
